Space Coast Business 2011 Business Leader of the Year in Health Care
As the former Chief of Staff at Wuesthoff Hospital in Melbourne, current president of Medical Associates of Brevard (MAB) and present chairman of Brevard Physician Network (BPN) Dr. Gadodia, a cardiologist, has developed his ability for conflict resolution and channeling physicians’ ideas towards a common goal. MAB has 43 multi-specialty physicians known for their excellent medical care and camaraderie and BPN is the largest Independent Practice Association in the county with 240 members. His recent achievements include creating a medical information exchange, inter-office referral and healthcare integration system, risk contracts with insurance companies, and providing cost-efficient care to Medicare beneficiaries, all leading to financial gains and growth in membership.
Florida-based Guyanese doctor, Victor Boodhoo, honoured for contribution to medicineTITUSVILLE, FLA. (December 6, 2010)— The University of the West Indies (UWI) presented Titusville physician Victor Boodhoo, M.D., with its Distinguished Alumnus Award for distinguished service to medicine and to UWI. Boodhoo graduated from UWI in 1966 when it was a college of the University of London. UWI, with campuses in Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados, has graduated over 7,000 doctors since it started in 1948. The awards ceremony was held in Barbados in November. Presented by Board Chairman of the UWI Medical Alumni Association, Dr. Michael Hoyos, Boodhoo was one of only three honorees at this event.
