All three of Brevard County's hospitals will share the stage Saturday night as part of the annual gala put on by the  Brevard Indo-American Medical and Dental Association.

The Saturday night event follows a medical conference and expo taking place at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto.

About 500 people are expected at both events, said Glad Kurian, one of the founders of BIMDA an organizer of this year's event.

BIMDA giving back to Brevard community:

"There's a lot of buzz about this year's event," Kurian said. "And there are a lot more physicians in the area than there were last year."

Kurian said top executives from Health First (operators of Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center, Viera Hospital, Cape Canaveral Hospital, Palm Bay Hospital), Parrish Medical Center, Titusville, and Steward Health Care, owner of the Rockledge Medical Center and Melbourne Medical Center (formerly Wuesthoff,) will share the stage at the gala.

Kurian said BIMDA also will be presenting a "generous" donation to the Wuesthoff Health System Auxillary Inc.to support that group's work with scholarship and patients support.

BIMDA's tradition of giving has financially supported a wide variety of local and national charities, including Health First Foundation, the Scott Center for Autism Treatment, Cancer Care Centers Foundation, FLORIDA TODAY's Reaching Out Fund, Space Coast Center for Mothers with Children, United Way of Brevard, Jess Parrish Medical Foundation, Brevard Symphony Orchestra, Women's Center and Children's Home Society.
